Today we have the pleasure of interviewing Emanuela Fazioli, Sustainability Manager at GIP STUDIO. From waste reduction to the adoption of a company beehive in collaboration with Beeing, the GIP group is committed not only to reducing its environmental impact but also to creating a company culture based on ethics, continuous training, and attention to the well-being of employees and the ecosystem.
Who are you and what role do you play in the company? What does GIP STUDIO do?
My name is Emanuela Fazioli, and I am responsible for sustainability and the development of sustainability services within the GIP STUDIO srl group. GIP provides training and technical consulting services in the field of occupational safety and the environment. Recently, we have also launched a new startup that develops customized software solutions integrated with artificial intelligence.
What are your values, especially in the field of environmental, social, and economic sustainability?
Our values are based on sustainability, which we integrate into our business activities. In environmental terms, we are becoming paperless, reducing the use of plastic, and adopting more eco-friendly practices in waste and resource management. At a social level, we promote ethics in work, the creation of positive networks among employees, and continuous training. Economically, we strive for sustainable growth, based on choices that value the environment and the community.
What actions can a company like GIP STUDIO take to achieve its sustainability goals?
We have undertaken several initiatives of this kind: as already mentioned, we are making the switch to paperless and also eliminating single-use plastics. Furthermore, we have eliminated the company canteen thanks to a collaboration with a local business that helps us reduce the use of disposable packaging. To this, we add the calculation of our CO2 footprint, which helps us understand how we can improve. Our goal is to offer sustainability-related services to our clients.
How did the partnership with Beeing come about? How did the idea of adopting a company beehive come about?
The partnership with Beeing was born from our sustainability report, which defines GIP as a model of collective intelligence, similar to that of beehives. This concept reflects our company philosophy, where collaboration and continuous exchange lead to common improvement. From here, the adoption of a company beehive seemed the most natural choice, and we immediately became passionate about the project!
Has the project managed to involve employees? Has it encouraged employees to take action to protect the environment?
Yes, the employees have been very involved. The idea of adopting our own company beehive came from them, and together we want to organize other educational activities related to the protection of pollinators and biodiversity. This is stimulating a greater environmental awareness.
What are your future plans to expand or further improve the project?
We would like to deepen the training of employees on the topics of biodiversity and the protection of pollinators, and then extend this knowledge to our customers. In fact, with Beeing, we have already organized a visit to the apiary for the spring of 2025: an excellent opportunity to raise awareness among our employees about the issues of biodiversity and the protection of bees. We believe that this training can enrich the skills of our employees and strengthen our positioning as a company committed to sustainability.
Furthermore, if all goes well, we will not hesitate to expand our project and welcome new beehives. After all, bees are a symbol of nature, collaboration, and the future!
The GIP STUDIO group’s approach to sustainability is an example of how companies can combine economic, social, and environmental objectives. Their commitment does not stop at internal actions but extends to the active involvement of employees and the dissemination of good practices to customers. The company’s future is projected towards further development of initiatives related to biodiversity and sustainability, demonstrating that a common path can lead to significant results for the environment and the community.
Thank you again to Emanuela Fazioli and the entire GIP STUDIO group for this nice conversation, see you soon!
