Air quality biomonitoring

Bees, in addition to being welcome guests and protecting terrestrial biodiversity, are powerful bio-indicators and communicate important information about the quality of the air we breathe. Through bees and honey, it is possible to detect the presence of various contaminants, such as heavy metals, pesticides, airborne particulate matter up to PM 0.1 and Volatile Organic Compounds.

Beeing relies on university partners and specialized laboratories to carry out the analysis and return important information on the environment at the service of the local community and citizens.
